How Do I
Get Rid Of Mosquitoes?
The very first thing you need to be aware of as far as mosquito control is concerned is if there is any standing water around. If water is allowed to stand for a period of time, it will become stagnant and that's exactly where most species of mosquitoes lay their eggs. Some times the source of standing, stagnant water may be off of your property - and out of your control. Mosquitoes don't recognize nor respect property lines so if they're allowed to breed and lay eggs anywhere close, you'll have to deal with them.
Most species will go as far as three miles to find a meal. That meal, of course, will be you. So make sure there's no standing, stagnant water for them to breed in, make sure your house is sealed up good and the doors and windows are closed, use yellow porch lights and look the other way if you have a couple of bats hanging around as they are the best mosquito control anywhere. Let your pest control technician know if you're dealing with mosquitoes - he may be able to apply a repellent to areas of concern.
