What are subterranean termites?
Though there are almost 4,000 species of termites in the world, it's the subterranean termite that causes the most problems here in the Phoenix, AZ area. Subterranean termite colonies live under ground and it's staggering how many there are out there. It's estimated that there are up to 18 colonies per acre of land in Arizona. And a colony of subterranean termites can grow as large as 1 million individuals. Wow! That's a lot of termites! Sub's build shelter tubes that extend their environment out to there work area which in many cases is a home or other structure. The tubes look a lot like dirt and average about the same size around as a pencil. They can show up just about anywhere in your home or business.
Our team of AZDA Licensed and Pre-Screened Bug, Bat, Bird, and Termite Pros has the right solution for any termite infestation. If you think you may have subterranean termite shelter tubes, fill out the contact form below for a free termite inspection from our Termite Pros.
